We believe anyone who puts on kit to willingly engage bad actors in the defense of others is cut from the same cloth. Gunfights do not discriminate. Deputy to DEVGRU, everyone deserves the most competent and consistent training to be safe and effective.
We believe budgets should not create obstacles for those on the ground to recieve knowledge that may save their lives or others. We believe we have a responsibility to ensure that all agencies receive the training they deserve.
We believe decades of SOF combat experience is insufficient to train law enforcement. Instructors must be educated in constitutional law, case law, and Use of Force policy. We believe that to be successful as a law enforcement training organization, you must have heavy representation from the tactical law enforcement community.
We believe in having a multi-dimensional Tier-1 instructor staff to bring all perspectives and formulate a universal language of current best practices.
We believe that egos do not make operators. No matter past accomplishments or pedigree, what matters is what we do today.
This is teammates training teammates.
With over 500 years of cumulative LEO Special Tactics knowledge and JSOC/SOCOM combat experience, Legacy Tactics stands to provide a nexus of research and development to increase the effectiveness and safety of operators nationwide - passing the torch and the legacy to the next generation.
Through the Mobile Training Teams, Legacy can engage with any agency in the capacity and environment that the client operates - providing a curated training program to that agency with the added cost benefit of conducting the training in their area.
These programs are not a one-size-fits-all plan. Legacy Tactics mobile training teams will work within the client's Use of Force policy. Instructor teams are built to serve the needs of that specific agency and will remain the primary contact with the client to promote continuity of training.
Legacy Tactics operates with a partner 501c3 nonprofit organization, Safe Communities Initiative, Inc., to utilize grant awards and private donors to fund training for agencies with financial restrictions.
Legacy Tactics cadre are hand-selected from JSOC, SOCOM, and Tier-1 LEO units. Legacy’s JSOC/SOCOM representation is predominantly selected from seasoned DEVGRU (Navy) and UNIT (Army) operators to provide perspectives evenly from the two primary direct action elements of JSOC. Legacy’s law enforcement complement is comprised of members of the FBI Hostage Rescue Team, the national special response teams for the DEA and ATF, the NYPD Counter-Terrorism Unit, and the NYPD Emergency Service Unit. The average term of service per instructor is 25 years - with an average of 8 years as a team leader.
Legacy instructor staff are required to attend a minimum of 15 days per year of professional development internal training. and must test annually on the company’s Operator Shooting & Fitness Standards - to remain in good standing as a member of the cadre. JSOC/SOCOM instructors receive instruction in constitutional law, relevant case law, and use of force policy. With significant Law Enforcement experience, paired with lessons learned through decades of SOF combat experience, Legacy Tactics continues to develop esoteric advancements in tactics and training for the modern law enforcement operator.
At Legacy Tactics, we take a holistic approach to consulting. We work closely with our clients to understand their goals and challenges, and develop solutions that address their specific needs. Our approach is collaborative, transparent, and results-driven.
Legacy’s CQC program delivers an all-encompassing graduated and comprehensive approach to the opposed surgical clearance of structures, considering case law and agency-dependent ROEs. The cadre will meet students where they are in their knowledge and build the appropriate pattern recognition and processing speed to safely and advantageously negotiate angles and threats in a hostile close-quarter environment.
Legacy’s ASR/AT program is delivered by a former NYPD Counter-Terrorism officer, an FBI Senior Team Leader and current Active Shooter Response Instructor, and a JSOC representative. The focus is on preparing all levels of law enforcement to react swiftly and decisively to engage and end an active shooter situation while minimizing civilian casualties and the threat to public safety.
Legacy’s Combat Shooting cell delivers agencies the most practical methodologies of performance shooting for operator development. By developing POIs that enhance precision speed shooting, vehicle CQC, and stress shooting, the Combat Shooting cell will progressively increase the accurate engagement speed of law enforcement and military tactical teams to increase officer and public safety.
Legacy’s TACMED cell delivers a versatile and full spectrum approach to pre-hospital trauma care and tactical and technical rescue of patients. Relying on subject matter experts from Tier 1 SOCOM and Tier 1 SWAT medics, the TACMED cell brings everything an agency could need in any tactical medicine situation.
